Waterfall Advanced

Power BI's built-in waterfall handles category movement. It does not handle a bridge: an opening anchor, drivers that explain the movement, intermediate checkpoints a finance reader expects, and a closing total. Waterfall Advanced adds the one thing that changes that — semantic control over what each bar means.

Freemium model

Free — The whole bridge: totals, subtotals and drivers, connectors, both orientations, drilldown, the target line, anomaly flags, conditional formatting, the colour-blind safe palette and hatched decreases, summary cards, number formatting, cross-filtering, multi-select, bookmarks, report tooltips, keyboard navigation and high contrast. Twelve individual drivers — the size of a standard P&L walk.

Pro — Unlock via Microsoft AppSource subscription:

• Every driver individually. Above twelve the smallest are grouped into an "Others" bar; the bridge still closes on the same figure, so the free result is correct rather than partial.
• The data table beside or below the chart — a bridge answers why, a table answers how much, and in a committee those questions arrive one after the other.
• IBCS monochrome notation.
• Label angle, truncation and automatic handling of labels that do not fit.
