Reader-driven pivot matrix with a heatmap scale and exact distinct counts.

A Power BI matrix is fixed at design time — everyone who opens the report gets the rows, columns and measure you chose. Dynamic Matrix Heatmap renders X axis, Y axis and Value dropdowns inside the visual, so readers pivot without edit rights or a model change, and the selection is saved with the report. Cells are coloured by a global heatmap scale, so the shape of the data reads before the numbers do. It also fixes a quieter problem: Power BI recombines a distinct count incorrectly across dimensions it isn't showing. Feed the visual a raw ID column and it aggregates rows itself, so the grand total always matches your card visual.
